Bible Perm (Russia) and World Campus Mission

Andrew Moon at the Tokyo Garden

After the ISBC, Missionary Andrew Moon also visited Los Angeles on a three day visit. He arrived at LA today. Along with Missionary John Baek he joined a lunch fellowship at the Tokyo Garden.

He is from Busan, Korea. In 1985 he entered the Busan University. At a freshman year he joined a students' radical movement demonstrating against the Korean government dictatorship. Then he quit the school, joined the military. Later when he came back to the university, one of his friends, the member of the radical movement, invited him to Bible studies in UBF where he met Jesus.

In 1995 he and his wife Grace went to Yekaterinburg Russia as missionaries.

Three years ago he started pioneering Perm, a neighboring city of Yekaterinburg, with over one million of population. He is self-supporting with his wife working as a professor at a college teaching Korean. He runs a Korean language institute teaching Korean.

There are a lot of demands for English teachers. Those who speak English can go there as English teachers.

Andrew Moon family has four children (three sons and one daughter).

Perm is the hometown where they shot the movie Dr. Zhivago.

Six months of a year there is snow on the ground.

He is going to stay at the El Camino UBF Guest House.
