1. It keeps the scale balance.
Proverbs 16:11 indicates that the Lord gives each nation a fair opportunity to not only be saved by His gospel, but also to enjoy the privilege of participating in the sufferings of Jesus Christ, namely spreading the gospel.
As the Scripture says the Lord God picks up and uses the lowly to shame the proud. Unfortunately many gospel workers misunderstand this concept that they focus on under/less-developed countries, neglecting the advanced nations particularly the super-power nations (of the past and present), and thereby causing God's scale of justice lose balance. This has to be corrected.
2. It is in the word of God.
The risen Jesus said to his disciples to make disciples of 'all' nations. Here 'all' means 'all' including such superpower nations as Roman Empire.
3. It makes a (business) sense.
It has been said, "If you want something done, ask a busy person to do it." Have you ever seen a lazy bunch accomplish anything, spiritually or otherwise?
So here is my request for your prayer for the Bible Portugal and World Campus Mission! (Matthew and Rebekah [from Yeonhee] Singh, their two daughters Deborah 12 and Lydia 9, Missionary John and Grace Huh from Yeonhee chapter, their two daughter Grace 15 and Jihye 13, shepherdess Sarah Neujah).
Now Portuguese is spoken in several nations of Africa, mainly in the former Portuguese colonies: It is the official language in Mozambique, Angola, Sao Tomè, Guinea Bissau and on the Cape Verde Islands; a creole kind of Portuguese is used in Senegal, Guinea-Bissau, on the Cape Verde Islands, São Tomé and Equatorial Guinea . A large community of Portuguese from Portugal, Angola and Mozambique reside in South Africa.
Pray that Portugal would be once again a missionary sending nation. In the past they sent out Jesuit missionaries to Japan. "Aringato" ["thank you" in Japanese came from Portuguese "Obligado". :-) ]
