​it is to grow in the image of His Son: - 2pe 3:18

​the purpose of this end is to create the possibility for God to bestow upon his children the highest good He has in mind for them. 

John says, "God is love."

​This truth is consistent with the statement saying: "God has no reason to create anything for himself for as He is He is all sufficient. The only reason He botheted to create man (the crown of all creation) is for him to be able to grant man the highest good that is God himself.
