Happy lunar new year 2020

In Korea yesterday Jan 24 was the lunar new year.

In the U.S. today is Jan 24 and the lunar new year.

A friend of mine sent me an article on the Korean customs of greeting the Lunar New Year. One of them is on the day before the date, they take a good bath, cleaning one's body, and get new clothes to wear on the new year's day.

Jewish mew year day arrives in late September, that is Sept. 28 in the case of the year 2020.

Japanese people along with the the U.S. keep January 1 as the new year day.

The article mentioned above states in effect that for those who made the year's resolutions and have already failed to keep them it is good to start out anew on this Lunar New Year's Day!

This reminds me of what the Apostle Paul says: "Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."

For those who are in the Lord then every day is the New Year's Day when by the renewing of his mind one can make a brand new beginning.

Today then by the renewing of my mind, after eating at an all you can eat China buffet restaurant, I went out to the Igo garden, and planted five trees.

And have a Happy Lunar New Year!
