Breakfast at 9 am

Today I took breakfast by the firepit.
Menu: leftover brown rice with a bowl of water heated up. Side dish (Korean banchan) - stewed pork

In eating it occurred to me that:
- brown rice is not from me that is someone grew it harvested it processed it packaged it placed at a market until i come and buy
- the same is with pork dish that is someone grew it processed it put it out in the market so i could come buy give it to rebekah so she cooked it placed in a plastic case so I could open and consume it this morning
- the same is true with the rest that is the morning sun, the rain that turned grass green fresh air the fire...yea... all of them came from someone else or the above according to James 1:17.

P.S. Due to coronavirus called Covid19 people die like flies every day. Click here for "The last 16 days of Robert Beaupre's life".
As of today, the U.S. is at the top in the number of the infected, that is, over half a million.

Why do you ask my name?

Once upon a time, Jacob had a wrestling match with an angel of God. Result was a TKO for Jacob. Actually, Jacob lost it but the Lord gave him a win for the wrestle stopped with the angel striking the socket of Jacob's hip.

Jacob realized the presence of God that as the angel was about to leave  Jacob asked him for a blessing.
The Lord granted. He gave Jacob a new name "ISRAEL" meaning "you have struggled with men and God and overcame."

Then Jacob asked the man for his name. But the man responded "Why do you ask my name?" The angel then blessed him and left. Jacob realized he had an encounter with God.

A question: why did the Lord say "Why do you ask my name?" The answer is in the account of Manoah's encounter with the LORD, that is, "because his name is beyond understanding." Judges 13:18

Perhaps the ancient Chinese thinker Lao Tsu understood the incomprehensible nature of the NAME of God that he stated at the beginning chapter of the book "Tao Te Ching" - "The TAO that can be told Tao is no longer Tao; The NAME that can be named cannot be the NAME."

Similarly in chapter one of the book Joong-yong (meaning Gold Mean)

Tao is such that none is capable of departing from it; otherwise, it cannot be Tao.

Yet when a man whose name was given from above that is Jesus came to earth he said plainly, "I AM THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE."

Then to a man named "Nicodemus" who wanted to see and enter the kingdom of God Jesus said straight:

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Not all truth seekers are lucky to find 'the' truth. BUT lucky was the man named John the son of Zebedee, for after following the man from Galilee of Nazareth for a period of time he was able to testify: "That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched -- this we proclaim concerning the Word of life. 1 John 1:1-2

Rivers of Babylon
By the rivers of Babylon
Where he sat down
And there he wept
When he remembered Zion
But the wicked carried us away in captivity
Required from us a song
How can we sing King Alpha song in a strange land?
'Cause the wicked carried us away in captivity
Required from us a song
How can we sing King Alpha song in a strange land?
Sing it out loud
Sing a song of freedom, sister
Sing a song of freedom, brother
We gotta sing and shout it
We gotta jump and shout it
Shout the song of freedom now
So let the words of our mouth
And the meditation of our heart
Be acceptable in Thy sight, oh Far I
So let the words of our mouth
And the meditation of our heart
Be acceptable in Thy sight, oh Far I
Sing it again!
We've got to sing it together
We've got to shout it together

Farewell to Shavu

I used to own a pickup truck which I gave the name "shavu" after the name of the street where her burial site is located.

She came to my life when I bought her for $1k at the Westside car sales office near the city of Anderson.

We've done a lot of interesting projects together traveling  all around the nor cal, even to chico area often times with my Nacho seated next to me.

One day however she kicked the bucket: suffered from a heart attack for the engine gasket blew up (repair bill: $2400 way over the budget).

I chose the Peace Camp as the place for her RIP. But the providence did not allow this to continue.

Thus on a bright spring day I took her to a funeral home - the Pick and Pull (19929 viking way Redding) the yard with a Majestic View of Mt. SHASTA. (Twin View Towing towed the car for $135).

P.S. She bequethed for me $24 - a check made payable to the order of Isaac Hyung Kim the beloved owner.

The following day in memory of Shavu the owner got built a Cathedral entitled "The Cathedral of the Perishing" and it stands at the place where Shavu used to sit.

Do not panhandle

Around 6 pm of april 2, 2020 as I was coming out of the grocery shopping at Winco I ended up getting myself locked out of my toyota rav4.

I piled up grocery items at a cardboad box not knowing I had put my car key at the box. Then I placed the box at the back seat closed the door and then in a sec "beep"! The car autolocked. And my cell phone was inside!

I went inside the Winco store, asked for assistance wherepon the lady attending the self checkout lane told me to go to the customer service desk and use the phone to call a roadside service.  Luckily I had in my pocket the wallet with the tripple A card! I made a roadside sercice call. The lady on the phone asked first whether or not my car was in a safe area. I said yea and then she asked me about 7 questions on corona virus asking questions like: do you have flu like symptoms like fever? Have you travelled more than 100 miles by bus or train? Etc. And so forth. To all of them I said no.

Then she took my membership no. and worked on dispatching sercice. (OH she did not forget to tell me that due to covid 19 I was NOT Allowed to sit in the tow truck driver's car seat.)

In the meantime since it was pretty chilly at the Winco parking lot and because still the sun did not set (while waiting for the truck to arrive) I walked up to the entrance of the store leaned against the brick wall next to the exit door. The wall got heated up against the sun during the day so the wall retained warmth making my back feel good! Standing there with my hands stuck in the pockets of my pants I was looking around watching for the tow truck coming.

Then a skinny guy wearing the Winco uniform (black apron) started pacing around me giving me a dirty look and then he took courage approached me up close and said to me: "You do not ask people for money do you? We do not allow panhandle here, okay? "

"OH, okay," I said and as I was walking away a tow truck was aproaching.
