Day 3 of LA UBF Fall Bible Conference

After breakfast, morning program opened up.

* Greg Newmaster - Special Song, with Petra Kim pianist

* Message by Frank Holman, "Follow me"

He categorized three groups of people:
1. Those who follow Jesus
2. Those who follow Jesus to a Starbucks
3. Those who do not follow.

Levi belonged to the first group.
The friends of the tax collector Levi belong to the second group.
The Pharisees and teachers of the Lord who complained about Jesus belong to the third group.

Frank once served a message on the same Bible passage on Levi.

When he was invited to serve a conference message this time he wanted to use the previous message he had once served. But upon getting negative comments he felt bad and wanted to call it quits. But on further prayer he realized that he was like a  man following Jesus to a Starbucks. He repented and renewed his decision to follow Jesus and minister with Him.

After the message Troy Segale shared a testimony. From age 15-27 he remained mostly depressed, primarily because he did put Jesus at the top of his priority. Rather he put woman as an idol. While seated at a bench on college campus one missionary approached him, and said, "You say you are a Christian, but I do not see Jesus in you." Then the conversation followed, wherein he repented of his idol-worship, accepted Jesus again. The Holy Spirit worked in him powerfully. The Lord sent Bible students to him. Greg Newmaster is one of them. He prays then to follow Jesus not just to the Starbucks but all the way, doing His will.

The program ended with the offering. Since we finished the conference one hour before the lunch, we had time for the audience to come to the podium and share what they learned. About a dozen including Henry came up and shared what they learned.
