Last Saturday there was gun violence at one of the upscale shopping malls of Kenya Nairobi. The Kenyan government has reported 59 people dead and 175 injured so far.
"This is the news update from M. Mark Yoon from Kenya that
our missionaries and their Bible students were spared from this
dangerous violence that killed so many innocent people which was aimed mostly against the foreigners. (Among so many One Korean woman died and another Korean college student is missing)
We may keep praying for the peace of God in Kenya that can
be the only and perpetual peace among the sinners.
May God protect the warriors of the gospel to keep fighting against
the power of the darkness in Kenya and all around the world."
Missionary Mark Yoon writes, "It is assumed by now that this incident is organized by Al-Shaabab terrorists. (As you may know the Al-Shaabab is the branch organization of Al-Kaeda."
Gunmen reportedly asked hostages if they could recite passages from the Quran and to name the prophet Mohamed's mother. Those who could not were either shot or continued to be held hostage.
