The intent of his eternal purpose (Ephesians 3:10-11)

In reading Eph 3:10-11, one might wonder why God intended that it is through the church that the manifold wisdom of God be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms.
Discussion -
1. God gave the manifold wisdom of God to the church alone, not to the rulers and authorities or anyone else.
2. God commanded the church to proclaim the manifold wisdom of God to the rulers and authorities.
Consider what to proclaim and to whom to proclaim, and then the examples of it.
1) What to proclaim? - manifold wisdom of God
** Manifold wisdom of God refers to the gospel of Jesus who gives man righteousness, holiness, and redemption that come in and through Jesus and Jesus alone. 1Co 1:30
** This wisdom is described as 'manifold' for among other components it has three, not single, wraps.
** This set up (or way) is called the "wisdom of God" because it refers to the 'knowledge' made known to the church via the faith in Jesus Christ".
** Note that if any information is not known to men but only to God, it is 'secret' (or mystery). God uses his prophets to reveal the secret. Then it is no longer a secret (mystery) but a revelation. When revelation be is understood and received it becomes 'wisdom'. (Rom 16:25-26)
** This is of God rather than of men, in that it comes through faith in Jesus who himself is the author and giver of the wisdom. Note that God has made the wisdom of the world foolish so by its wisdom the world may not know Him. 1Co 1:20-25
2) to whom to proclaim
** Proclamation is to be made to the rulers and authorities in heavenly realms first, for whatever is going on in a physical level has its root in that which is in heavenly realms. Spirit controls soul controls body. [Gen 2:7; Col 2;10-15; Eph 6:12; 1:3,21; cf Psa 68:18 vs. Eph 4:8]
** By the time Paul wrote the epistle he was incarcerated in Rome. Eph 3:13
He regards the persecution via the Roman rule (which is reflection of the heavenly rule) as the opportunity to make God's manifold wisdom known.) So when you have the opportunity to make known what should be known, you do not get discouraged. Notice that for a believer hard times are good times to reveal His gory.
3) Examples
** Jesus commanded the evil spirit to come out and then healed the Gerasenes demoniac. Luke 8:29
** God created man by breathing into his nostrils the breath of life, indicating that God who is Spirit is the origin, the life seen such as fleshly being is a result. Gen 2:7
** Jesus said "The Spirit gives life, but flesh counts for nothing." John 6:63
** The Apostle Paul exhorts us that in everything by prayer and petitions we are to make our requests known to Him. Phi 4:6
** Jesus also says we must always pray and not give up.
