(Pic - on my way from Lisbon UBF to LA, I spent a night at a "hostal" called "Hotel Convento La Gloria" at Algote de milina, 26-28, Seville, Spain Tel +34 954 293 670) which was used as a convent where nuns used to have "common life" until 15th century. The owner of the facility is Raimond. Being an artist he drew a painting, and put it on display at the hotel lobby. In a way he is being a witness of Jesus, using his talent to draw something.)
When we think about what it (you will be my witnesses) means, we can identify what it does not mean.
What then does it mean? It means what it says, "you will be 'my' witnesses".
What then does it mean to be a witness of Jesus? The phrase 'of Jesus' tells us that being a Jesus' witness means to testify about Jesus fully on who Jesus is, what he once came to do, is now doing, and is going to do in the life of a believer as well as an unbeliever. Witness testifies on what he or she knows as true. The contents of the witnessing are called 'testimony'.
Testimony then consists of two categories: Jesus' person and Jesus' work.
So do not talk about too much about someone or something else; if you want to talk about someone or something else, other than Jesus, talk about them only to the extent necessary or relevant to Jesus' person and/or Jesus' work. Otherwise you are not Jesus' witness.
